Post-hardcore veterans Thrice have been putting out solid records for almost two decades now, and continue to evolve their sound upon each successive release. With their tenth studio LP Palms due out on September 14, the band have released a second single called 'Only Us', a song which might be their boldest change in sound to date.
Starting out with a pulsing synth (totally reminds us of the Stranger Things intro), the track builds alongside vocalist Dustin Kensrue's husky howls into a crescendo with dark, sludgy riffs and booming drums to give the song a monstrous drive. We love when a band can keep their core sound intact while introducing new elements to stay fresh. Check it out!
You can also check out the eerie music video for the first single from the album called 'The Grey'.
