Tech death giants Revocation have unleashed the frenetic title track from their upcoming seventh studio album The Outer Ones, due out September 28 via Metal Blade.
The track is a brutal mix of thunderous blast beats, septic gutturals and technical shredding which is very pleasing to our ears. Vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson said this about the record:
"I knew that I wanted to go in a darker direction, and this is our most death metal album to date. Sometimes when death metal bands go down the prog route, they lose some of that edge, but we wanted to keep the aggression at the forefront of what we do while still pushing our boundaries."
You can check out the grim first single from the album, 'Of Unworldly Origin' here. The Outer Ones will follow up the band's last release Great Is Our Sin from 2016.
