Acclaimed black/post metal band Deafheaven have returned with a new song called Honeycomb, the first material since their 2015 album New Bermuda.
In true Deafheaven fashion, the song clocks in at almost 12 minutes long and explores a range of brutal and beautiful passages which end up sounding like a cross of black metal and Dinosaur Jr. With a distinctively retro music video to accompany, the band seem to be fully embracing the "hipster" labels stuck to them by certain circles within the metal community.
We think it's awesome, but what about you? Check it out and let us know!
