Linkin Park will release a previously unheard track titled Lost this Friday.
The band shared the news via Instagram, posting a snippet of the song, complete with some intriguing video footage which you can watch below.
The post also features a pre-save link and a cryptic hashtag of #Meteora20 which seems to indicate that the Meteora-era track will form part of the band's rumoured 20th-anniversary celebrations for Meteora.
The reveal of Lost follows a few weeks of intrigue surrounding Linkin Park's social media channels, with the band, who have officially been on hiatus since vocalist Chester Bennington's death in 2017, posting several teaser videos that hint something big is on the way. NME reports that most fan speculation has been that the band will release a 20th-anniversary edition of Meteora, the impending arrival of Lost seems sure to add more fuel to those rumours.
Meteora was released on the 25th of March 2003, debuting at #1 in the USA and going on to sell over 16 million copies worldwide. Home to Numb, Faint, Somewhere I Belong and Breaking The Habit, Meteora is one of the most influential albums to emerge from the '00s, inspiring many in the new generation of nu-metal bands and making a permanent connection with millions of Linkin Park fans worldwide.
In March last year, the single Numb joined the exclusive billions club. The heartfelt anthemic rocker from the nu-metal monoliths' became the second Linkin Park track to notch up a billion streams on Spotify, joining In The End in the most exclusive of Spotify playlists, The Billions Club.
