Well here's something a bit different - it turns out that Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer has collaborated with hip-hop/horrorcore duo $uicideboy$ on their new EP alongside Blink-182's Travis Barker.
The EP is titled Live Fast, Die Whenever and has Munky featuring on three of its six tracks. You can listen to him on the track 'Killing 2 Birds With 22 Birds' below, along with Travis Barker's drums on 'nothingleftnothingleft':
$uicideboy$ formed in 2014 and have found themselves at the forefront of a popular movement which blends hip-hop with metal influences alongside other artists like Scarlxrd, Ghostemane and Ho99o9."
Munky's collaboration is the latest of Korn's long history of associating with outside genres, including:
- Korn's dubstep collaboration record with Skrillex
- The Family Values tour which frequently featured hip hop artists like Ja Rule, Method Man, DMX and Ice Cube
- Korn's remix of Rhianna's song 'Bitch Better Have My Money'
- Nas featuring on Korn's track 'Play Me'
...and so on and so forth.
Korn themselves are scheduled to have a new album out by the end of the year, so keep an eye out for that one too!
