With the meteoric rise of nu-metal towards the turn of the millennium, some pretty weird fashion trends came along with it. JNCO jeans basically peaked with the genre, as evidenced by their sales which peaked in 1998 and then halved the following year before having the main factory shut down in 2000.
After some failed comeback attempts, they've announced that they will be returning yet again - which makes sense really given that we're in the middle of a full-blown nu-metal revival as well.
