It's always super cool to see metal music infused with different cultures from around the world, and Japanese band Gyze are taking things feudal with their badass new track 'Samurai Metal'!
The track takes cues from modern power metal and uses traditional instruments like the bamboo flute and the Shamisen (Japanese guitar) for an epic, authentic tune.
Gyze fully lean into the samurai aesthetic too, filming the music video in an ancient Japanese village, brandishing katanas and more. It's super unique, bloody awesome, and it even features guest appearances from other heroes of metal including DragonForce vocalist Marc Hudson!

Gyze have been around for a little while now, forming in 2009 and releasing four albums to date. If you dig world metal like this, check out the Mongolian legends The Hu and Indian lords Bloodywood too!
