Progressive metal stars Orphaned LandfromIsraeland Palestinian four-piece Khalashave led from the front and announced a joint European tour .
I personally champion any sort of creative protest on this matter and whilst it may not have any visible effect it is these humble exploits that can make the biggest difference. I need not say anymore as Orphaned Land frontman Kobi Farhilays it downimmaculately.
“We can’t change the world, but we can give an example of how coexistence is possible,"Farhi told TheGuardian."Sharing a stage and sharing a bus is stronger than a thousand words. We’ll show how two people from different backgrounds who live in a conflict zone can perform together. The purpose of art is to represent harmony in places of disharmony, to bring hope. ”
Lead guitarist from Arabic Rock group Khalasemphasised Farhi’s sentiments.
“We are metal brothers before everything. There is no bigger message for peace than through this tour.”
Good on them.
