Got a spare $10K lying around? Legendary pinball machine producer Stern Pinball have announced 'Legacy of the Beast', an Iron Maiden-themed machine which aims to celebrate the legacy of the equally legendary band.
"The Iron Maiden pinball machines aim to reflect the same excitement, energy, and experience of a live Iron Maiden concert. Players will immerse themselves in an interactive Iron Maiden universe transforming into various forms of Eddie, the band’s legendary mascot. Players, as Eddie, will embark on a quest to defeat the Beast and his minions across the Legacy of the Beast mobile game and comic book world. Iron Maiden pinball entertains with an amazing array of modern and classic features, making it suitable for all skill levels."
The machine isn't cheap by any means, but when you buy one of these bad boys you're really shelling out for the best build quality you can possibly get. It comes in 3 models: Pro ($US 5,999), Premium ($US 7,599) and Limited Edition ($US 8,999 + limited to 500 units), with the different versions featuring different amounts of bells and whistles accordingly.
What's really cool is that all the models include twelve Iron Maiden classics as you flip away:
1. Aces High
2. 2 Minutes to Midnight
3. The Trooper
4. Wasted Years
5. Can I Play With Madness
6. Number of the Beast
7. Run to the Hills
8. Powerslave
9. Hallowed Be Thy Name
10. Flight of Icarus
11. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
12. Fear of the Dark
The artwork is also insanely amazing and is hand-drawn by renowned illustrator Jeremy Packer, a.k.a. Zombie Yeti who previously worked on other Stern machines such as Ghostbusters.
Might be hard to get one of these to run on Australia's 50hz electricity, but orders will soon be available on the Stern website.
