American metalcore band Ice Nine Kills are all about celebrating holidays. In fact, their latest album The Silver Scream is entirely dedicated to horror movies based around Halloween and Christmas!
So it's no surprise that the track 'Merry Axe-Mas' got a video release around Christmas time, and boy is it amazing. Beginning with a kid opening his presents on Christmas day in 1993, the parents notice a strange gift which none of them recognise, which is addressed to the child by Santa himself.
Turns out that the present is an old-school video game titled 'Ice Nine Kills' which the kid promptly chucks into his Sega Megadrive, and we're then treated to the band's 'Merry Axe-Mas' track along with some seriously stylish retro 'footage' of the game.
Check it out:
The track is based off the 1984 slasher film Silent Night, Deadly Night. We would totally play this game!
