Hardcore supergroup Angel Du$t have announced that their new album YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs will be released on October 22nd via Roadrunner Records.
The album announcement arrives accompanied by a hilarious Ian Shelton directed video for the new track Big Bite, depicting the band collectively dressed up as Dracula and getting about time as they get up to all sorts of hijinks.
Big Bite is everything we've come to expect from Angel Du$t around the Maniacs office, which is to say it is nothing like what we expected it to be at all, and the Baltimore based band made up of members of Turnstile and Trapped Under Ice indicate there are even more changes ahead on the album. Vocalist/guitarist Justice Tripp remarked on the forthcoming album sharing:
People get really married to the idea of making a record that sounds like the same band. If one song to the next doesn’t sound like it’s coming from the same band, I’m ok with that.
Put simply, Angel Du$t are the guys who do whatever you don't expect.

Produced by Rob Schnapf (Kurt Vile, Elliott Smith), YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs promise will see the group channeling an anything-goes philosophy into their tightest, most forward-thinking material yet, with the album set to be a rotating smorgasbord of percussion, guitar tones, effects, genres, and influences, fashioned in the spirit of a playlist as opposed to a traditional ablum.
It is even set to feature a breezy duet with Rancid’s Tim Armstrong.
YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs is available for pre-order now via Maniacs
