Former The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato has kept himself busy since the band's break-up, channeling his energy into the dark synth-wave project The Black Queen, but now he's dropped his first solo track which falls on the much heavier side of things.
The new track, called 'Fire For Water', starts off with a dark, industrial feel backed by pummeling drums and low guitars, before exploding into a furious math-metal section and finally dropping back into a slower, pulsing section driven by piano.
It's dripping with dark aggression, and honestly sounds like something that wouldn't be amiss on a Dillinger record, which will no doubt make fans of the now-defunct band pretty happy.

This song is the first single from Puciato's upcoming debut album Child Soldier: Creator of God, which is due out later in 2020, although no further details are available yet.
If you're wondering why the drums sound so good, that would be because he's recruited Dillinger's original drummer Chris Pennie for the album, who played on all of TDEP's albums up until 2007's Ire Works.
What do you think of Greg's new solo stuff? Let us know!
