    The 2022 Grammy Awards have been run and won and the Foo Fighters have emerged as the big winners in the rock categories.



    Foo Fighters emerged victorious in every category for which they were nominated, winning the awards for Best Rock Album (Medicine At Midnight),  Best Rock Song (Waiting On A War)  and Best Rock Performance (Making a Fire).



    It was a night of mixed emotions for the Foo Fighers who are currently grieving the death of their drummer and friend, Taylor Hawkins, and cancelled a scheduled performance at the awards. Hawkins was the subject of a touching tribute video during the ceremony which you can watch below.

    Billie Eilish also paid tribute to Hawkins, wearing a shirt featuring a photo of the drummer during a live performance of the title track from her record Happier Than Ever. 



    Somewhat controversially, former Slipknot drummer, the late great Joey Jordison Grammy winner with Slipknot for Best Metal Performance for the song Before I Forget and a seven-time nominee, was not given a tribute, nor was influential MegaForce records founder Jon Zazula or Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer, Graeme Edge of Moody Blues. 



    The 2022 Grammy Awards were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and were hosted by Trevor Noah. 

    The awards featured several live performances including Travis Barker performing alongside Lenny Kravitz and H.E.R for a scintillating rendition of Kravitz megahit Are You Gonna Go My Way?
