Political firebrands Fever 333 have dropped the incendiary opening song called 'Bite Back' from their upcoming EP/collection WRONG GENERATION, which is due out on October 23.
The new track is a fury-filled demonstration that takes cues from different bands like Refused, Rage Against The Machine and even a little hint of Korn in the hard-hitting chorus too.
It was the first song to be written by vocalist Jason Aalon-Butler after returning from 13 days of protesting in LA after the police murder of George Floyd in May/June 2020, and you can absolutely hear it in his voice - have a listen below:
Butler says of the upcoming full release:
“This project is art as activism first. I’m talking about what’s happening and what needs to happen. I hope you understand there’s going to be pain in progress. After dismantling and deconstructing all of these things, we can find a beautiful place to be together. For me, this whole EP is that 13 days after 34 years. You fucked with the WRONG GENERATION.”
Good news for Australian fans too, because Fever 333 are including Sydney as part of their virtual global demonstration tour dates - that means they'll be playing live at 7PM AEDT on October 27 for a special exclusive show, in contrast to most livestreams that end up falling into some ungodly early morning hours here in AU/NZ.
The shows will include an elaborate LED screen setup surrounding the band, and will use a brand new 32-bit audio technology that will have zero latency and make the experience feel as live as possible. You can grab your tickets for that here!
