Stray From The Path are currently tearing up Australian stages everywhere while on tour with The Amity Affliction!Maniacs were lucky enough have a chat withTom Williams from the band! You only saw a snippet in the latest edition of theManiacs Mag but now you can check out the rest of the interview below!

1. The Let The Ocean Take Me tour will hit venue sizes of 5000-8000 capacity in the major cities. Tell us about the largest crowd youve ever played to and how you dealt with the nerves.

We played Bamboozle festival to about 2k people, then we played Rock fest in Quebec Canada to about 4k people. It felt pretty normal because it was a huge festival with bands like Incubus, and Marilyn Manson playing…these are 5 band shows, in a country on the other side of the world…these will be by far the biggest shows we have ever played. I am not sure how nervous I will be until I am on stage…its our 2nd time in Australia with one of Australia’s biggest bands…so it is pretty intimidating.

2. Australia is home to some of the deadliest animals in the world- which are you most afraid of coming into contact with?

Fuck snakes. Fuck every snake that ever lived. They look like pure evil and have no ability to love at all.

3. What song are you most looking forward to hearing from the other bands on this tour?

I am a huge Architects dick sucker. Some of our best friends and my favorite metal core band ever. Alpha and Omega is my favorite and every time they play that joint its soooo sick.

4. Australians like to think we have the best beer on Earth. Tell us how much you agree and why.

Unfortunately for Maniacs, you are talking to the one member of the band who has never had a drink in his life. But the rest of my band sure does drink a lot of it, so I’m sure its good….or it tastes as bad as every other beer and still gets them nice and drunk.

5. What makes you a Maniac?

I think the face that people need to watch their back, because I’m constantly fucking up peoples programs.

But in all seriousness, I love hockey (or as Aussies call it, “Ice Hockey”) so much that it sometimes makes me think that I am wrong for liking it as much as I do. It depresses me and makes me feel invincible on any given night.
