The day has finally arrived! Buffalo metalcore legends Every Time I Die have served up a double shop of happy news today. Unleashing the new song Post-Boredom on our unsuspecting world this morning and chasing it with the news that their ninth album Radical will be out October 22nd via Epitaph Records.
The groove-heavy Post-Boredom will be one of 16, yes 16! tracks on Radical, the bands long-awaited follow up to 2016's epic Low Teens an album that saw the band reach some new and much-deserved heights of metalcore stardom. Vocalist Keith Buckley gave some insight into Post-Boredom in his typically cryptic yet informative style.
Post-Boredom was the first song I ever wrote that gave me the feeling of real truth. I wasn't hiding any secret confessions in metaphors, I was very much fed up with living an unfulfilling life and felt that I needed a death (either figuratively or literally) in order to have a fighting chance at finding new meaning. I see this song from a distance. It's reflective but also, finally, detached. not a full ego death, but indicative that the process needed to start immediately in my own life. If you read the lyrics and it resonates with you, then you also need to recognize that you might be feeling unseen in your current form. So, what are YOU going to do about it if given the gift of death?"
Post-Boredom comes partnered with a video that is part short-film, part music video, part postcard for Buffalo, with the band playing a series of exaggerated characters, including Keith's brother, guitarist Jordan working the counter of the local hop-shop and bassist Steve Micciche playing a massage therapist.

The release is extra special news for fans as the band had previously said they wouldn't drop the album until they could start touring again, which means it must be time for the band to return to the road!
