Melbourne collective DREGG have returned with another new single called 'I'm Done', which follows on from their aptly-titled two-track release TU TRACK and the standalone single 'Hectic' earlier in 2020.
'I'm Done' was mixed by Will Putney (Thy Art Is Murder, Body Count etc.) and packs some hard-hitting riffs, delivering another blast of DREGG's signature fusion of rap, hardcore and metal that they've become known for. The band had this to say on the new track:
“We wanted to construct something that outlined our current frustrations while simultaneously mocking ourselves and anyone who takes everything great they have for granted,” explains the band. “The song explores the idea of breaking down ones ego to rebuild it for a greater purpose. Not just for the people around you but for your own sanity and prosperity.”
Check out the official video below, which sees the band hanging out in the recording studio and at various locations around Melbourne:
DREGG have been turning heads and dividing critics over the past few years with their explosive live shows and their energetic blend of metal, hardcore and rap, which landed them a signing with Epitaph Records earlier in 2020 (yep, that Epitaph!).
It'll be interesting to see just how far DREGG go in the future!
