When you head to Deftones.com/Tarot, you’ll be welcomed to ‘Fate’s Lounge,’ and asked to ‘join the list.’ Not only is this a pretty fancy way of getting you to sign up to their email list, but you’ll have a three-card tarot spread pulled for you to flip and maybe even get a closer insight to the path you’re on.
Deftones have custom-designed a deck of 22 Major Arcana cards based off of traditional tarot. You can browse the card designs and view their meanings over in the card gallery section of their site and you can also share the spread (or hand) you’ve been dealt on socials.
It’s pretty on-brand for them right now considering the recent release of their occult-themed video for Ceremony last week.
We have to say, if there’s one positive to come from the shutdown of the global touring industry due to the pandemic, it’s that bands and artists have gotten super creative with the content they share and also their merch.
The deck is digital-only for now but it’d be pretty cool if the band eventually did a physical deck or even prints of each design.
