Deftones have confirmed they are back in the studio for writing and/or recording sessions through a couple of Instagram posts. The band had already entered the studio back in April, and it appears they like to return every so often in downtime between touring.

Are they working on a new album? We will likely find out soon, and it has been a couple of years since their last album Gore was released in 2016, so we can only hope. The band also recently announced the first edition of their own festival in America called Dia De Los Deftones, a mixed bill which is headlined by Deftones and features artists such as Mike Shinoda, Future, Vein and Rocket From the Crypt. Perhaps we'll see a new song debuted there!
