One of metal's big talking points in 2019 has been the reunion of Static-X for a new album and a 20th anniversary tour for their 1999 record Wisconsin Death Trip, which has just kicked off in the US.
The band's choice to replace the late Wayne Static with a mystery masked vocalist imitating Wayne's image generated some pretty heavy controversy, so it was really only a matter of time until some fan-footage of the shows surfaced online, and you can check out various clips below.
The masked frontman (aka Xer0) is rumoured to be the vocalist of Dope, Edsel Dope, who are a support act on the entire tour. Footage of Xer0 speaking between songs seems to confirm that the two figures' voices are similar, so it's entirely possible.
Static-X will be bringing the tour to Australia in August with Wednesday 13 and Dope as supports:
