Do you love yourself a little bit of viking metal, by any chance? If you answered yes, then we'll assume you also love Amon Amarth and deliver you some good news - the band have announced they'll be releasing a documentary called The Pursuit of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye of the Storm' on November 16, which already sounds about as epic as anything else they've ever put out! Check out the trailer below:
It'll highlight the band's history and feature live concerts, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the band. Accompanying the release is footage from two different sets at Germany's Summer Breeze Festival in 2017. One 'secret' set where they played a whole bunch of older tracks spanning their career, and another on the main stage to tens of thousands of people and a huge live production to back it. Both of these will be featured as part of the release!
The doco will come in different versions: a CD, DVD pack, a special edition with hardcover book and 6 discs (3 DVDs, 2 CDs and a Blu-ray), a transparent orange vinyl release (limited to 500 copies), clear with black splatter vinyl (limited to 250 copies) and transparent yellow with orange marble vinyl (limited to 250 copies). You can pre-order the film and accompanying live concerts here.
November 16 is an absolutely stacked day, considering Chris Cornell's career-spanning boxset will be released too!
