Prog/alt rock lords Coheed And Cambria have released a third new track called 'The Gutter' off their upcoming concept album The Unheavenly Creatures which will be out on October 5th via Roadrunner Records. An accompanying visualiser for the song takes a sci-fi inspired direction and really reminds us of some video games' art style like Destiny or Mass Effect.
'The Gutter' is a sprawling rock opera which feature's the band's signature guitar work and vocals we've come to love over the years. Check out the song and video below!
Boasting 15 songs over 78 minutes, The Unheavenly Creatures will be the ‘First Act’ in a brand-new story arc set within the backdrop of The Amory Wars universe.
The epic box set includes an exclusive 80-plus-page hardcover illustrated sci-fi novel with strikingly realistic color imagery by Chase Stone, as well as the complete "Act 1" novella written by frontman Claudio Sanchez and his wife, Chondra Echert. The set also houses a fully wearable hard-plastic mask of the main character in "The Unheavenly Creatures", a CD copy of the album, as well as the exclusive bonus album, "The Crown Heights Demos", showing the songs in their original written form. Additional items include a three-panel fold out poster of expanded album cover art. You can pre-order it on the MANIACS store here!
