Iron Maiden vocalist/pilot/legend Bruce Dickinson is set to release his new concert documentary Scream For Me Sarajevo on June 29, along with an accompanying soundtrack to be simultaneously released via BMG and can be pre-ordered here.
The soundtrack is in both CD and 2LP format and serves as the amazing soundtrack to this astonishing documentary film about the most unlikely of rock concerts. Performed by Bruce Dickinson and his band Skunkworks in 1994, the concert is filmed in the midst of the Siege of Sarajevo when mortars and grenades rained down on the city, killing indiscriminately every day. Amongst this madness, it was possible to persuade a global rock star to come and play a show for local rock and metal fans.
Pre-order the 'Scream For Me Sarajevo' Soundtrack now.
The gig was immense, intense and probably the biggest show in the world at that moment for the audience and for the band. According to Bruce, it "changed the way he viewed life, death and other human beings”.
The soundtrack is comprised of the very best of Dickinson's solo work that featured in the legendary concert including rarities ‘Acoustic Song’ (previously only available as a bonus track on the 2001 Best Of Special Edition), ‘Inertia (Live)’ (previously only available as a bonus track on the expanded re-release of ‘Skunkworks’ in 2005) and the album closer ‘Eternal’ (previously only available as Japanese bonus tracks on ‘Tyranny Of Souls’).
“War turns the world on its head, but this is an optimistic message”.
