Bring Me The Horizon have dropped a new single DiE4u. Die4u continues the Sheffield superstars sonic experimentation, taking a distinct turn towards the darker side of the pop realm.
DiE4u marks the start of the second phase of the band’s adventurous Post Human EP series and was recorded remotely during the pandemic with Oli Sykes stuck in Brazil and Jordan Fish in the UK.
DiE4u arrives accompanied by a foreboding video that was shot in Kyiv and directed by Sykes.
The cinematic video brings the song’s lyrical narrative of toxic obsession to life. Speaking about the track and video Sykes explains the inspiration for DiE4u.
“DiE4u is a song about toxic obsessions, vices and things you can’t kick. I think a lot of people went through very similar struggles while in lockdown, coming face to face with yourself and seeing who you really are and what’s important. The song is a triumphant and emotional one for me because it was a time of realisation to kick the things that were no good and to make the choice in bettering myself. It also connects to a deeper theme about us as a society, and how we need to look at the way we treat ourselves, each other as well as the world."

DiE4u follows Bring Me The Horizon’s highly successful recent EP Post Human: Survival Horror.
That release showcased the bands’ incredible drive to explore and push their own creative boundaries during the height of the global pandemic and DiE4u is a fitting spiritual successor.
