2020 just keeps getting better and better with more great bands announcing records every week. Even just today we've had Lamb Of God announce theirs, and now metalcore veterans August Burns Red are throwing their hat into the ring with Guardians - their ninth album due out on April 3!


There's a new track titled 'Defender' to listen to below as well, with guitarist Brent Rambler saying of it:

"The song 'Defender' is about having that person who can come in and take some punches for you, and be in your corner during hard times. I am quite the comic book fan and I thought the lyrics could easily turn into an awesome animated short story - kind of like if the pages of a comic were to come to life. Luckily, everyone else agreed and we have this sick video to go along with the song."

'Defender' strikes the satisfying balance between melody and crushing heaviness that August Burns Red have honed throughout their career. It also comes with a sick comic book-style music video which is well worth a watch.
