While we wait for any info on that new Deftones record, Architects have actually released a new cover of the band's 'Change (In The House Of Flies)', the classic track from their 2000 album White Pony.
Recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London for a Spotify Singles session, the metalcore band remain pretty faithful to the original track, while adding in a bunch of extra orchestral elements. You can listen to it in the Spotify player below, along with an extended version of 'Death Is Not Defeat' from their latest album Holy Hell:
It's not secret that the British metalcore band are fans of Deftones, with vocalist Sam Carter telling Metal Hammer in 2014 about how much he loved them:
“Their career has longevity. They’re not fucking around and they never have. It’s crazy to be this far into their career and to have released nothing but consistently brilliant albums...the production [on White Pony] is ridiculous. The sound of the drums on that album still gets me; Chino was making noises that nobody had ever heard and the sounds he was making would pan left and right… it’s just total genius.”
What do you think of their cover? Let us know!
