Architects have dropped an industrial metal-tinged rager deep fake.
Lifted from their forthcoming studio album the classic symptoms of a broken spirit, deep fake continues the band's exploration of electronic and industrial elements, pitting gritty synths against wailing guitar leads. The song premiered via BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record in the World and is now available to stream everywhere.
deep fake arrives accompanied by a Jeb Hardwick-directed performance video.

The follow-up to last year’s critically acclaimed ARIA No.1 album For Those That Wish To Exist, the classic symptoms of a broken spirit came together so fast, that they've barely stopped to celebrate the prior record's success. the classic symptoms of a broken spirit was produced by the band's own drummer Dan Searle and guitarist Josh Middleton, with additional production from vocalist Sam Carter at Deacon’s Middle Farm Studios and their own HQ, Electric Studios in Brighton. The band were buoyed by finally being back in the room together after their last album was made mostly remote due to COVID restrictions. The result is a record with a more living spirit, as Searle explains.
"It's free, playful and spontaneous. This one feels more live, more exciting and more fun - it has that energy."
Carter adds "We wanted it to be a lot more industrial and electronic”
You can hear both of these statements come to life on first single tear gas.
