London can be a dreary place at the best of times and with good reason!
Ask the millions of angry commuters who’s daily life revolve around being crammed (much like cattle on their way to the abattoir) into trains and buses sharing some of the most intimate, awkward moments with fellow commuters. I mean, what’s not to like about having your head firmly pressed into someone’s reeking armpit whilst being close enough to the person next to you to read the finest print of the local newspaper.
So naturally after experiencing that on a regular basis its only natural to seek some respite? Well Londoners are ruining that for themselves too!
A Death Cafe…
“The idea is straightforward enough: People meet up in dining establishments to talk about death over some food”
Don’t worry though, its a fairly simple process to understand as they’re are only two rules.
“A folded card on our table was propped up with the rules printed on one side (there are only two: respect everyones view and everything said is confidential) and a list of suggested topics (what kind of funeral would you like? What do you think happens after death?) on the other.”
Respite Ruined….
